>>How do you do when you make me feel the way i do?<< Incubus' Stellar

again again
Saturday was crazy mad athleticism day. In the morning I attended a skills clinic with the cycling team. I learned cornering, sprinting, and paceline techniques. (you learned what?). Cornering is the term used to refer to rounding corners in a race. In order to avoid sliding out and ripping that expensive spandex suit, Grasshopper, one must know how to distribute weight to outside leg and inside arm.

Pacelining is when there's a single file of bikers and they take turns moving from the front to the back of the line in order to use the "draft" efficiently. Basically, take turns passing the head wind around, cuz that shit gets tiring if you're in the front all the time. shoot.

Sprinting was dope. It's kind of awkward, but it got comfortable after a while. Get this, we were able to get an Olympic athlete on the US female cycling team to show us how to sprint. The only person who could have upstaged her would be, umm, Jesus. Jesus on a bike. he'd be fast.

and then
Nico and Bern diggy picked me up to go a hiking in the Berkeley hills. By the way, after the skills clinic, we had to climb a bunch of hills on our bikes before we got to go to lunch. My legs were shot to death and then i went on a 2 hour hike. It was good times. Highlights? Quoting the Princess Bride and Dirty Dancing. "Nobody puts Baby in a corner!!". Thank you thank you Mr. Swayze.

and then
I called my housemate Dustin because i wanted company for dinner. We couldn't decide, but finally picked a dive bar that served pizza and hamburgers and fantastic chili. But i didn't have the chili. I wanted a sausage and mushroom, but dustin doesn't like mushrooms, pizza. We I wanted to go cheap so that i could buy a good dessert too. Dustin suggested Ghirardelli ice cream in SF. I was so very down.

Dustin drives a convertible, so we were bumpin' Dre, put the heater on full blast and took the top down. I've never been in a convertible. on a clear night. across the bay bridge. through north beach. in full view of Orion's belt, scorpio, the dippers, and cassiopeia.

I do believe that there's nothing in the world like learning and doing new things.
